In August 2021, the BCM welcomed David Wade as the incoming Baptist Collegiate Minister. But he is no stranger to VCU as he completed his business degree on the campus in 2009. David grew up in the Metro Richmond area before moving to the Tidewater Region where he spent 9 years in ministry as the Pastor of Students and Discipleship at East End Baptist Church. During his time at EEBC, David developed his ministerial gifts which are widely on display at the BCM now. He has a great passion for discipleship, teaching the Word of God, and helping others to come to know Christ, as well as assist in developing spiritual gifts. One other thing he picked up in Tidewater was his lovely family. During those 9 years, David met and married his wife Brandi, and they now have three boys, six year old Joshua, and three year old twins Jeremiah and Jonathan. David is looking forward to all that God has for the BCM and is thankful that God has chosen him to be part of it all!
